FAQ

Q. I have a large project to program. How can One Step Logic help?
A. One Step Logic is experienced with developing large, complex systems that include combined A/V distribution, lighting, HVAC, security, cameras, gate/door access, intercom, pool/spa, etc... We are familiar with the products and technologies involved in such projects and have successfully programmed and integrated systems that include all the mentioned subsystems and more.
Q. Does One Step Logic take on small projects as well as large ones?
A. We know that your projects come in all sizes and levels of complexity and we are ready to help you with your project regardless the size. Our experience guarantees that your project will resolve into a stunning success whether it is a small home theater or one of the largest and most complex systems imaginable.
Q. I have an existing program that needs some updates. Can One Step Logic help me?
A. It is a common occurence to need updates done on existing systems and One Step Logic has the talent and ability to help. It is not an easy task to come in on a project that someone else already programmed and make fixes/updates that correct problems or add functionality without breaking working code but we have the technical prowess to achieve success.

If you have the original program and touch panel files we can make updates to them but if they aren't available, or if you prefer, we can rewrite them completely. Either way, you will get a fully functional system that includes the fixes/updates you require.
Q. I need a custom Crestron module written for a piece of hardware. How should I proceed?
A. Call or email us to discuss the details of the device and the capabilities required from the module. We will then prepare a detailed estimate that outlines what and how the module will work. After your approval, we will develop the module to your exact specifications. We also provide a 12-month support/maintenance period with module development for any bug fixes.

Our programmer is a 15 year veteran of the software development industry with focused emphasis on low-level device interface development during a large part of his career. He is accomplished with multiple hardware protocols and adept at interpreting/implementing custom software protocols which results in a high level of functionality and robustness from your module.
Q. Does One Step Logic offer custom touch panel graphics?
A. Of course we do! Touch panel interfaces/graphics are what make your system really shine to the end-user and custom graphics just add the WOW! factor to any system.

We have standard, high-quality templates that we offer as part of any system but we can accomodate any custom graphics needs you may have as well.
Q. I'm new to working with Crestron. What help can One Step Logic offer?
A. We are accomplished designers, integrators, and programmers which means that we are knowledgeable with A/V devices, Crestron equipment, and integration methods. Depending on where you need help we can offer consulting on what products are best to use and how best to integrate them. We can design the system for you using your requirements as a baseline and adding/recommending equipment as needed. We can provide part or all the programming needed to bring your system to life and give your end-user all the features they are craving.

Q. What is One Step Logic's policy regarding source code?
A. Our policy regarding source code is simple. You paid us to develop it for you for that specific system so you are entitled to a copy of the source code for the program and for the touch panels. It is provided to you by written request after all payments have been received by us. One Step Logic maintains ownership and Intellectual Property rights over all programming we develop.

We are confident that you will value the services we offer and keep working with us without using the source code as a way to hold you hostage or leverage more business from you.
Q. What kind of maintenance/support plan does One Step Logic offer?
